| Today when we were just casually walking in the Helsinki city center, minding our own business, this little group of demonstrators came out of nowhere. Fortunately Wen always carries a camera so we were able to shoot this memorable moment for everyone to watch! I'm not exactly sure what they wanted to say except that they seem to be pretty much against everyone and everything - USA, European Union, war in Iraq and Afganistan... the usual stuff. The sign in the bottom right photo says "The democratic female network of the capital city area"... are they for or against? 
The EU-volcano above is interesting. I get it that they are saying the rich "elite" lives at the top of the volcano and the "Euro"-sun is shining bright on them... whicle the poor people live in the shadow of the mountain where it always rains and is cloudy. But a volcano? What does this mean? The volcano will erupt and kill everyone? Or only the elite, while the rest will have time to run away?
I'm wondering where all the nurses are, as my first thought when I saw the group that they must be nurses asking for more money. |
